Selesnick, who has served as Katonah-Lewisboro's chief since 2015, was principal of Chappaqua's Horace Greeley High School from 2003 to 2012 and served as the Chappaqua Central School District's Assistant Superintendent for Human Resources from 2012 to 2015.
The lawsuit, filed by a former Greeley student with the pseudonym of "John Roe," involves sex-abuse allegations against former teacher Christopher Schraufnagel, who was employed in the district as a Greeley teacher from 2003 until his resignation in 2015.
Selesnick could not be reached for comment on Tuesday.
The Chappaqua district and Schraufnagel are now facing a total of seven student civil accusers. However, the new lawsuit, which was filed this week, is the first to name current and former top school officials as defendants, including Selesnick.
The plaintiff alleges that he was "directed" to perform oral sex on Schraufnagel in the spring of 2011 at the catwalk of the school's auditorium. It also alleges that Schraufnagel got the plaintiff to perform oral sex on a fellow student in 2012 during a field trip to Greece.
